Folded Wedding Invitations

Folded Wedding Invitation Designs are available in 3 variations including classic, gate and concertina folded. They are available in different shapes and sizes and are usually square or oblong shaped.

Folded, Gate & Concertina Folded Invitations

As we mentioned above, there are 3 variations of folded invitations:

Classic Folded Invitations are your traditional folded card style.  They have a single crease and fold in half.  We usually make them so as they open out sideways, with the crease down the left-hand side but we can also make them so as the fold is across the top.  Inside you can either have a traditional folded paper insert or mounted, fixed cards.  Guest information can be printed on the left side of sideways-opening cards or the top of portrait-opening cards.

Concertina Folded Invitations fold out, in a concertina style.  They usually feature 5 panels – the cover, invitation, 2 x information panels and a perforated RSVP self-addressed postcard.  We can print directly onto the card or print individual cards and mount them separately to create extra layers and include different colours.  They’re usually A6 in size (when folded) but larger options and square designs are also available.

Gate Folded Invitations have 2 creases and open out from the centre, a bit like a gate.  The invitation is fixed inside the panel as you open it and we often print and fix a personalised ‘plaque’ to the outside of the invitation for added detail.  If you’d like to include some guest information we can print this on the inside of the side-panels for you.

Layering

Adding layers of card can help add weight and a quality feel to your invitations.  Extra layers can also help you to incorporate a colour scheme. You can ask us to use any colour combination and have as many layers as you like.  We stagger the size of each layer of card that creates a border effect.

Foiling

We can also help you with bespoke foiling work on your wedding stationery.  Foiling is a specialist print service that we can arrange for you.  Popular ideas include foiled initials, names, date and headings.  If you want all of your wording foiled then digital foiling might be a more cost effective solution for you.  Contact us with your ideas and we can advise you.

We can also arrange bespoke letterpress, embossing and de-bossing work for you.

Further Personalisation

All of our folded wedding invitations can be personalised to match your wedding theme.  All card, colours, wording, fonts and images are fully personalised for you.

Other embellishments such as ribbon, lace, bows, glitter, diamantes, pearls or buckles are also available.  We can also organise white-ink printing for you if you choose a dark coloured card.
