I meet many Brides & Grooms who already have children of their own. If you already have children of your own then you may want to think about this idea.
Mummy and daddy are getting married
A lovely way to include the children in your wedding is to word the invitations as though they are the “hosts”. This is less traditional than the bride’s parents hosting the wedding so you may need to think about it before you make the final decision.
The wording would read:
Mummy and Daddy are getting married
~
<Children’s Name(s)>
is/are delighted to invite
to the marriage of his/her/their mummy and daddy
<Mummy’s Name>
and
<Daddy’s Name>
~
If you choose to have an RSVP postcard with your invitations then
these can be addressed to the children so as they receive the letters in the post.

The “mummy & daddy getting married” wording can be printed onto the inside flap of the invitation or printed and mounted onto a plaque on the cover. The RSVP postcard inside would also be addressed to the children.
Cheque Book Invitations
The “mummy & daddy are getting married” wording can be printed onto the front cover of the cheque book.
The RSVP postcard inside would also be addressed to the children.
Wallet Style Invitations
The “mummy & daddy are getting married” wording can be printed onto the mounted plaque on the cover.
The RSVP postcard inside would also be addressed to the children.
Classic Folded Invitations
