Introduction
As a business, we rely heavily on our website for new enquiries and our sample request service. However, we also love to attend wedding fayres.
Wedding Fayres and Shows are a great opportunity to meet with couples face-to-face. They also give us the chance to netork with other suppliers in the industry.
Plus our stationery gets a day out from storage and we get a day away from the office!
Bolesworth Wedding Show 2026
Claire Boon from Bouquet and Bells reached out to us with details of the wedding show she was planning. The dates were confirmed as 19th – 20th September 2026 and opening hours 10am -4pm both days. These dates were perfect for us and we were excited for the opportunity to exhibit at such a wonderful venue.
The show itself was held within the ‘Castle View Pavillion’ which is a permanent marquee set within the grounds of Bolesworth. The pavillion is positioned near Bolesworth Lake with an outdoor seated terrace, scenic gardens with a stunning view of Bolesworth Castle.
The venue location was really accessible and had plenty of parking. Suppliers were able to setup stands on Friday from 10am – 6pm which was amazing for us!
‘I Do designs’ is an Official Supplier with Bouquet & Bells
‘I Do designs’ is an official and recommended supplier with ‘Bouquet and Bells’ and we are listed on their supplier directory.
By being a recommended supplier with them we have access to a range of on-going benefits including dedicated website and social media features, a listing inside issues of Bouquet & Bells magazine, discounts on stands at Bouquet & Bells wedding shows and much more.
Arrival and Set Up
We arrived on Friday afternoon to set up our stand. We had booked a 2m x 2m space which we quickly filled! To be honest we’re still not quite sure how we managed to fit everything inside the space. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and it was raining so bad! We manoevered the car underneath the canopy and we able to safely get all of our stationery inside the pavillion.
We started with the backdrop which was 2 x voile panels with a wall of fairy lights. Luckily we remember to pack our little step!
There’s a reason why we stick to stationery!
Venue dressing is definitely not our bag!

The Finished Look!
Here are a few photos of what our stand looked like when we finished setting up. It took us just over 3 hours to complete it. There are definitely some lessons learnt and things we’d change but in the end we were super proud to see it all come together.

Some New Designs!
We created a few new wedding stationery designs to showcase at Bolesworth, including:
The ‘Wedding Post’ Newspaper
The ‘Where in the World are you sitting‘ table plan
Fun Order of Day Sign
Peony Collection
Colour Scheme Ideas Board
Illustrated Wedding Invitation & Save the Date

All Change for Sunday!
As much as we loved the look of our stand when we initially created it, during Saturday we found that it wasn’t very practical. As soon as someone entered our stand to browse our designs it meant that nobody else could see anything. So, on Sunday morning we had a move around!
We brought everything forward and in-line with the front of our stand. This worked out so much better for us. It meant that all of our designs were easier for people to browse.
We moved our large format signs and table plan designs towards to back. Couples were still able to see everything clearly in the back whilst focusing on our save the dates, invitations and day-stationery in the front.
We believe the stationery is touchy-feely and by making everything more accessible meant that more people were able to browse properly without feeling cramped.

Free Sample Service
At every wedding fayre we attend we always offer a free, personalised sample service. Bolesworth Wedding Show was no different. Wedding fayres give us lots of opportunities to chat with couples and discuss ideas and designs in person. If we feel like we are able to help and create something they’d like then we are happy to offer a free sample.
Design Choice
Part of the initial process is to go through our design options. We go through our most popular styles which include flat, folded, gatefolded, cheque book and pocketfolds. Design choice often comes down to how much guest information couples need to include and whether they want an RSVP postcard or not. From there we then discuss colours and fonts. We do have a colour chart than includes our most popular colour schemes but beyond this we have access to many, many colour options and combinations.

New Friends!
During our time at Bolesworth we made friends with a few other suppliers who were our neighbours for the weekend. This includes: Nick from Smooch, Meg Higginson Photography, the amaging guys from Icycles and we also came across from Alpacas!
We really hope you have enjoyed reading a bit about our behind-the-scenes experience at the Bolesworth Wedding Show as much as we enjoyed being at the show.
