Do I need Name Place Cards?

If you are having a formal wedding breakfast and would like your guests to sit in particular seats then name place cards are essential.

However, you can provide a simple table plan with coordinating table names/numbers and allow guests to sit themselves where they wish on a given table.

Do Place Cards need full names?

Full names aren’t essential, but they can prevent a lot of confusion. If you have multiple guests with the same first name, you want to make sure they sit on the right table! But only having first names means you can make the font larger and clearer for short-sighted guests. The choice is yours!

Are Table Name Cards and Place Cards the same?

No, but they’re always close together! Table name cards are normally in the centre of the table and follow a particular theme. Place cards are for each seat and will have the full name of each of your guests!

How big should Place Cards be?

Wedding place cards are one of the smallest pieces of day stationery. They are usually 10cm long and 5cm tall, and can be folded cards or flat to be placed neatly on a plate or napkin. You can decide to make them larger (to incorporate a border design or use a larger font), but this will affect the price overall.

Can I make my own Place Cards?

You can! These are relatively simple designs. However, part of what we do is matching your day stationery and invitations, creating a distinct theme throughout. Plus we use high-quality card and materials for our place cards.
