Recognising and Rewarding Excellence in the UK Wedding Industry

The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) was established in 2011 and has since established itself as the biggest, most rigorous and most respected awards in the UK wedding industry.

TWIA offers Regional and National awards that are client-voted and judged by more than 160 industry experts across 29 categories.

Our Previous Entries

There is a small financial cost to the business but the benefits we receive in terms of support and social media exposure far outweigh that.

We have entered the competion twice in the past.  The first time was in 2015 and we entered again in 2018.

The Judging Process

What we love about TWIA is that it’s not just a ‘numbers game’.  They go deeper than simply counting votes which we believe makes it fairer all round.

We have copied and pasted the judging process information from the TWIA Website.

It is not simply about the total number of votes received (just because one wedding supplier does more weddings than another doesn’t necessarily mean that they are ‘better’). So, each entrant’s average voter score will be calculated and used throughout. The proportion of each entrant’s eligible voters who vote will be also be taken into account by the panel where necessary and applicable. Use of each entrant’s average voter score enables suppliers of all sizes to compete on a level playing field. This is a vital aspect of these Awards.

Throughout the judging process the panel use all information at their disposal in order to make their decisions. These include, but are not limited to: Each entrant’s responses to their Judging Profile questions, their voter scores and comments, any photos and videos uploaded, social media presence and web site.

Regional Finalists

Considering the tough judging process we have made it through to Regional Finalists on both times we entered.  We are so proud of these achievements and have plucked up the courage to put ourselves out there once again.
