The Pocketfold Invitation

My Pocketfold invitations are very popular because they are an all-in option for couples wanting to offer their guests an RSVP card, guest information and gift list information. Of course, as with all of my designs, the wording can all be personalised but as standard my pocketfold invitations include:
- Pocketfold Base Card
- Fixed & Mounted invitation
- 3 Loose inserts
- Ribbon
- Diamante or Pearl
My most popular pocketfold designs are Large Square (145 x 145mm) size but other shapes and sizes are available.
Portrait Orientation Pocketfold
With a diamond flap on the front this design opens lengthways. There are lots of ways to personalise the front of this design . Popular ideas include the use of ribbon, lace and diamantes or pearls. Personalised “plaques” can also be added. Fancy diamante or pearl embellishments or vintage cameos can be added on request.

With a diamond flap on the front this design opens sideways and are free standing. These can be personalised in the same way as the portrait orientation cards.

Pocketcard
The pocketcard design looks like one of my “classic folded” invitations from the front but rather than having a folded paper insert you will get a fixed & mounted invitation to the right with a pocket and 3 loose inserts to the left. They are free standing and have printed and mounted covers which make them very easy to personalise. Ribbon and a diamante or pearl on the cover is included in the price.

What goes inside?
In terms of the inside of your for your pocketfold invitations the invitation card is mounted inside onto a mount/inlay card – this is often colour coordinated with your wedding scheme but other options include patterned paper and glitter cards.
Let me know if you have a specific idea in mind. You also get 3 loose inserts included as standard (you can have less inserts if you don’t need 3 and I can adjust the price of your invitations accordingly).
The inserts are not mounted as standard but this can be arranged as an optional extra and is a great way of incorporating further colour onto your design. Here is an example of a pocketfold with mounted inserts:

What about the outside?
Well .. on the outside of your invitations you can have whatever you like .. within reason! Some ideas work better on different variations so firstly you need to consider which of the above options you prefer whether it’s a portrait, landscape or pocketcard design.
The cover of the pocketcard designs are, in some respects, easier to personalise because the front of the card is printed and mounted. With the landscape and portrait pocketfold designs, which have a diamond flap on the front, I tend to suggest sticking to classic ribbon embellishments and maybe a personalised plaque (optional extra).
Here are some ideas, displayed on a variety of pocketfold & pocketcard designs, for a bit of inspiration but if you have other ideas then please get in touch
1. Simple, classic ribbon laid flat.
This idea is perfect for use on any style of pocketfold as shown below:

2. Instead of flat ribbon you add further detail by opting for “knotted” ribbon instead.

3. Bows are available as an optional extra and look great on whichever style you choose.

4. On the pocketfold invitations (landscape or portrait orientation) which have the diamond flap on the cover I can a personalised “plaque” on for you – they’re an optional extra so please check with me for prices.
You can have whatever wording you like on your plaque. Ideas include your names, your initials and/or “Wedding Invitation” with your names and wedding date on too. On a couple of occasions I’ve used a nice poem or verse instead. It’s totally upto you .. just let me know your ideas.
